Kocoń pellets (Beskidy) — price per tonne, certificate PL 081, where to buy

Pellet Beskidy from the Kocoń sawmill: a 975 kg pallet converted to a tonne (tracked live), ENplus A1 certificate PL 081, parameters from distributors and what the sawmill in Rycerka Górna says itself (little). Where to buy online and what to watch for.

Updated 12 October 2026 · Author: Mikołaj Bukowski

Tartak Kocoń is one of the few Polish pellet producers that is also a sawmill: the sawdust behind Pellet Beskidy comes from the company's own timber cutting, not from purchased feedstock. It is a straightforward firm from Rycerka Górna in the Żywiec Beskids about which the web says little — its own site gives pellets two sentences. Below is everything the sources allow us to say, plus the price converted to a tonne and the places you can buy it online.

Who Tartak Kocoń is

The full name is PPUH "Kocoń" Sp.j. K. Kocoń, J. Kocoń. According to its own site the company's roots go back to 2001; the head office is at Rycerka Górna 228 (Rajcza municipality), with a branch, transhipment and storage yard in Rycerka Dolna. The core business is wholesale round timber, pallet boards and biomass (sawdust, wood chips), domestic and export; since November 2022 they also make EPAL pallets. The company mentions "4 modern, automated production lines" and hosting a Discovery Channel Polska crew in 2019 for the show "Zawodowcy: Drwale".

On pellets the site says only this: "We produce pellets at our plant. We hold an ENplus certificate. Get in touch" (news item dated 12 December 2023, phone 780 526 780). No price list, no shop, no parameters. Everything below comes from distributors.

Pellet Beskidy — parameters according to distributors

The two shops describing the product in most detail are PelletSklep.pl (a shop whose prices we track) and Kaskada Opał. They agree on the essentials:

  • certificate ENplus A1, number PL 081, producer PPUH "Kocoń" Sp.j.;
  • raw material: 100% softwood — pine, fir, spruce; "clean, dry softwood sawdust, free of bark";
  • diameter 6 mm ± 1 mm, length 3.15–40 mm;
  • moisture ≤ 10%, ash ≤ 0.7%;
  • pallet 65 bags × 15 kg = 975 kg; PelletSklep also offers 480 kg (32 bags) and 75 kg (5 bags).

They differ on one thing: PelletSklep states a calorific value of "> 16.5 MJ/kg", Kaskada Opał "> 17.8 MJ/kg". The first is simply the standard's floor for class A1; the second looks like a figure from an actual test. Neither is a producer's declaration. Geography is similar: PelletSklep advertises pellets "from the Silesian Beskids", although Rycerka Górna lies in the Żywiec Beskids — a detail, but it shows that shop copy is written by the shop, not the sawmill.

Worth saying plainly: the only information from the producer is that it holds an ENplus certificate. Number PL 081 can be checked in the ENplus register — how to do it — and that is a better confirmation than any shop description.

Pellet Beskidy price per tonne

As of 12 September 2026, gross prices from product pages:

ShopPackPricezł/tAvailability
PelletSklep.pl975 kg pallet2,449 zł2,512out of stock
Kaskada Opał975 kg pallet— (price on request)——

The maths: 2,449 ÷ 975 × 1000 = 2,512 zł/t; PelletSklep declares free delivery across Poland. From today we track the PelletSklep offer automatically, so the current price and availability are in the current pellet price listing (brand "Beskidy") — and you can set an alert for when it returns below your threshold.

For scale: the cheapest available A1 pallet in our table usually costs noticeably less — compare today against the index median. Beskidy is not a "cheap" pellet, then, but a "Polish, from a sawmill, with an ENplus number" one — and that is its argument.

Beskidy vs "Beskid" at OBI

OBI sells a bag of "Pellet drzewny Beskid A1" with almost identical parameters — but OBI's page names no producer, so we do not know whether it is the same pellet. We take that apart in a separate piece: Beskid at OBI vs Beskidy from the Kocoń sawmill. Short version: look at the bag label and look for the number PL 081.

Where to buy

  • PelletSklep.pl — 975 kg pallet, free delivery, price tracked in our table.
  • Kaskada Opał — product description, price on contact.
  • Directly from the sawmill — phone number in the news section of tartak-kocon.pl; sensible for self-collection from around Żywiec or Rajcza.
  • Classified listings also show local timber yards (e.g. near Kraków) with a 990 kg pallet — check the pallet weight in the specific offer, because 975 vs 990 kg is a different price per tonne.
